New buildings expand John Paul II campus

During the first Mass celebrated in the new cafetorium, the students of John Paul II High School, Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School, their faculties, families and other supporters raised their hands in blessing of the youth who had served Mass for both campuses during the past year. The liturgy was celebrated on May 29, the last day of school, which also marked the blessing of a new fine arts building along with the new cafetorium. "It's exciting," said Carmen Chapa, whose daughter Melanie Chapa, will be a senior at JPII next year. "(Having the cafetorium) is going to make the school day easier. It just feels good in this building."
