Help Catholic Charities help others by designating your United Way contribution

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi, along with 44 other area agency programs, depend on the success of the annual United Way of the Coastal Bend fundraising campaign. All of these agencies are vital to the community because they help people in need. Of these agencies, Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi is one of four who receive funds from United Way only when the donation is designated by the giver.

United Way funding campaigns will soon be starting in work places all over the city and the surrounding six-county area. Did you know that you can designate all or a portion of your United Way gift to the agency or agencies of your choice? This is a great opportunity to support Catholic Charities of Corpus Christi, by designating it as recipient of your gift to United Way.

The United Way fundraising campaigns are the most effective way to raise funds for qualifying agencies. Last year, the United Way campaign raised in excess of $4.8 million and hopes to surpass that amount this year.

United Way keeps fund-raising costs low at only 15 percent, so that nearly all your contribution goes directly to agencies who help our brothers and sisters in need.
