"You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek," intoned the Cathedral Choir during the Mass where six young men of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity were ordained priests by Bishop Edmond Carmody on July 14.
They were Michael Crump, Dennis Mary Dugan, John Gaffney, Scott Giuliani, David Mumba and John Robinson.
Concelebrating the Mass of Ordination were Archbishop Philip Naameh of Tamale, Ghana and Bishop Dorick Wright, Bishop of Belize City and Belmopan.
"This is a great joy for your order, for us and for the whole Church", said Bishop Carmody as he began the election and consent portion of the Ordination ceremony. At the conclusion of the Ordination, Bishop Carmody thanked each of the new priests' families and gave them a special medal commemorating the event.
Two of the newly ordained will remain in the Diocese of Corpus Christi. Fathers Crump and Gaffney will serve in Robstown. The other four will be assigned to other areas served by the Society.
