Catholic schools unite in prayer for new year

Sr. Paz Aribon, O.P., Jasmine Alingasa, and Robert Schwartz from Our Lady of the Rosary lead the processions of school banners into the cathedral at the Mass celebrating the new academic year. Parents, faculty members and local pastors joined the exiting classes of the 19 Catholic schools in the celebration of the Eucharist presided by Bishop Edmond Carmody. The liturgy was held to pray for the new academic year. The choir for the School Mass consisted of students from these 19 schools. The enrollment in most schools is up this year from last year.
