The Convalidation Seminar is offered twice a year to prepare couples who are seeking to validate a civil or otherwise irregular marriage. This would include any marriage entered into outside of the Sacrament of Matrimony in the Catholic Church by a Catholic person. Convalidation brings such marriages into conformity with Church teachings and sacramentalizes the bond. Our goal is to help couples enrich their civil marriage or prepare to remarry in the sacrament of matrimony.
Couples should speak to their priest before registering for the seminar to ascertain whether it is the right program for meeting their needs. The next convalidation seminar is scheduled for October 13, 2012. See details below.
