Czechfest 2012 will be held on Sunday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (or when all items from the Auction are sold) on the church grounds of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. St. Thomas is located 3.5 miles west of the Five Points Shopping Center at 16602 FM 624 in Robstown.
Czechfest Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Msgr. Richard Shirley at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning with a Czech Band playing the liturgy music.
There will be a Beef BBQ meal of: BBQ Beef, Potato Salad, Beans or a traditional Czech meal of: Sausage, Sauerkraut, Green Beans, and Homemade Kolaches. Plate donations are $8 per plate. Serving starts in the parish hall at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Drive-Thru meal serving is from 11 a.m. until no food is left.
There will be games for the children, a little crazy train for the little children to enjoy. There will be a Country Store which will sell Kolaches by ½ a dozen while they last. Come and enjoy the Cake Walk, Arts & Craft Booths, Bingo and Snacks. All activities begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. The Silence Auction begins at 1 p.m. and big live Auction will begin immediately following the silence auction until all items are sold.
