On October 21, St. Anthony's Church in Violet will celebrate Oktoberfest with beef barbecue plates for sale, offering dine-in service and plates to go. The dinner will be served with all the trimmings, between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m for a plate donation of $8. There will also be a country store, church museum, children's games, a live auction and a white elephant booth. All proceeds will be used for church repairs.
