Time:  Starts: 10:00 AM

The Pro-Life Forum invites you to a presentation on Faithful Citizenship by Matthew Moore at St. Thomas More located at 2045 Eighteenth St. in Corpus Christi, across from Del Mar College. The talk begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Moore is a doctoral candidate at the University of Saint Thomas in Houston and a philosophy instructor at Del Mar College. His presentation will cover the U. S. Bishops’ document “Faithful Citizenship” to help educate Catholics so that they can enter into well-informed civil discourse in American society, representing the Church as “leaven within the loaf” of society.

Since Catholic social teachings pre-dates the United States, the principles themselves are prior to and outside of the political process in this country. They are principles that form the conscience of Catholic people so they can enter into the political process and make prudent decisions regarding the election of representatives who will govern for the purpose of forming a more human, more just society, one that facilitates and protects people in their natural pursuit of the fullness of life.
