The special Mass is part of a continuing effort to recognize and honor all the medical professionals within the diocese and “the important service they provide,” Bishop Mulvey said.
Prior to the Mass, Gerry Heeley, S.T.D., Sr. V.P. of Mission and Ethics at Christus Spohn Health System presented a talk on "The Ethics of Equity and Care," at St. Joseph's Hall.
The "White Mass" is so titled in reference to the traditional white lab coats and uniforms utilized by doctors, nurses and other health professionals.
