Alfredo E. Cardenas
A native of San Diego, Texas, returns to his home Diocese of Corpus Christi after a 10-year tenure with the state government in Austin. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and is presently working towards a master’s in history from Texas State University.
Founded and published the Duval County Picture in San Diego for 13 years, and most recently oversaw production of local government and property tax publications for the state comptroller. He has extensive experience in working with anti-poverty programs as well with governments at all levels.
He is a parishioner of Corpus Christi Cathedral.
Mary Cottingham has been with the South Texas Catholic since September 2007. She grew up in Houston and has worked for various publications throughout South Texas as a graphic designer.
Cottingham has a degree in fine arts from Texas A&M-Kingsville and spent her younger years working in the field of aviation electronics.
Adel Rivera has been with the South Texas Catholic since November 2011 and before that, she had five years experience in administration.
She grew up in Corpus Christi and attended Roy Miller High School. She is a parishioner at St. Joseph Parish in Corpus Christi.
